Realizing how important Thomas’s role was in building up the city, it was incorporated in 1893 as “Cornelius” in his honor.
Today, residents of Cornelius are still hoping to build happy, successful lives just like Ben and his son. The city is known not only for its farms but its rolling hills, four wine-producing vineyards, and one of the oldest golf courses in the entire Pacific Northwest, Forest Hills. It was here in Cornelius that the KVN Construction team had the honor of completing one of our most recent projects.
A Cornelius homeowner had been having some trouble with the roof – the shingles were quite old and worn down by the elements. Simply put, a new shingle roof would be required.
To ensure the homeowner would get the most out of their new roofing in Cornelius, we installed durable Malarkey Vista AR shingles, backed up by a 45-year Lifetime Limited Warranty and a 20-year extended non-proration period. As for color, the client chose Storm Gray, which we agree looks great in this area.
