What Is the Pittock Mansion?
You’ll find this unique spot at 3229 NW Pittock Dr, Portland, OR 97210, and it’s the historic home of the esteemed Henry and Georgiana Pittock. Though it once was the home of this lovely couple, it is now a museum that is sure to take you back to the early 1900s.
Inside you will be sure to find many exhibits about the lives and work of Mr. and Mrs. Pittock and many furnishings and architecture from their time period. You will also be able to go outside and look out on beautiful Portland, Oregon, and the majestic forest surrounding this gorgeous home.
A total walk-through of the Mansion will take approximately an hour on a self-guided tour. However, you can register for one of many different tours of the mansion. Some of the tours will even take you through other attractions in Portland.
Getting to the Mansion
The Historic Pittock Mansion’s address is 229 NW Pittock Dr, Portland, OR 97210. Portland is known for being a top city for public transportation, so it’s no surprise that you can reach the mansion with the TriMet Bus. The two stops you’ll want to go to are W Burnside or NW Barnes RD. You will then need to get out and walk approximately a half-mile to your destination, making sure to follow the signs so that you do not get lost.
If you do not like the idea of taking a bus, you might also consider calling an Uber to pick you up and take you to the Mansion. In addition to Uber, several taxi services would all take you to Pittock and any other destination you would like to visit.

When you’re at Pittock Mansion, you’re close to some of the best spots for enjoying the nature that Portland, OR has to offer. Right near Portland, you can go on a hike that will take you through Forest and Washington Park. Not only will you get the excellent benefits of hiking, but the trail will also have you walk through the majestic forests of Portland and through several different themed gardens, such as a rose and Japanese garden.
Also nearby is the Witch’s Castle. This stone structure was built in the 1930s and is a must-see for ghost hunting enthusiasts. Though it has an interesting past, not every story you hear is true. Ask a local of Portland, OR for the stories they’ve heard, and prepare to be entertained.
